It's that time of year again. As we wave goodbye to 2014, let's take a moment to think about your 2015 marketing resolutions and the simple things you can do in the new year to help your business to grow.

Resolution #1 – Be More Social

Social media is clearly not a passing trend, so it's time to get involved. We've talked about the many reasons why your business should have a social media presence. Even if you have taken the plunge and created your Facebook, Twitter, or other accounts – social media is not a "If you build it, they will come" kind of thing. To get any activity on your accounts, you've got to get the ball rolling with action by yourself and your employees.

By liking, participating, and sharing your social media accounts' content, you help to spread your presence throughout your online community. We know that it may be hard for some operations to worry about serving their clients and posting social content, so we can help to manage your social media accounts, but it is still incredibly helpful to get yourself and our employees involved on at least a basic level.

Resolution #2 – Snap More Pics

You don't have an excuse anymore. While professional photography is a good idea for a formal portfolio – the average smartphone is capable of taking pictures that are more than sufficient for your social media feeds and web site galleries. We've mentioned a few smartphone photography tips, including what project pictures you shouldn't use, so it's time to brush up and get snapping on your next job site.

Resolution #3 – Build My Feedback

The best ways to generate fresh content for your website, build your company's reputation and trustworthiness, and add to your online optimization efforts is to take pictures of your work and get reviews about your service. We've talked before about asking for the review, and even techniques on building your own feedback system. No matter what avenue you take, be sure to find clients with glowing reviews and send them throughout the internet to spread the news of your company's successes.

Resolution #4 – Prep Now for Success Later

From time to time, we're all guilty of procrastinating and pushing back preparations for future promotions or business growth. We're always so busy completing what needs to get done now that we neglect what things need to be done to ensure business victories later. Even if it only for 30 minutes every week, take time to draw out a road map for your business's future. From small goals like trying to hit a specific customer quota in one month to bigger goals like growing the business so much that you need another work vehicle, take some time to visualize what your company will be doing in the next month and next year.
